Often, when we buy a computer off the shelf, the manufacture provides just enough for the computer to at least be able to power up, run, power off. In other words they just provide you with the basics to get you up and running. All too often most consumers and businesses do not look inside of the box to determine if they are getting the most possible performance out of the unit. As time goes by, often people replace computers due to the unit being deemed obsolete and slow. And the cycle continues. With a little bit of research, you can find out what level your hardware is running at, and how much the performance can be increased.

The first area I like to consider is the RAM. RAM is Random Access Memory that applications use to function. Typically, the machine uses all available physical RAM, and then reverts to using a part of the hard drive to substitute for what physical RAM is not present in the system. This therefore causes the hard drive to work a little harder. This is a pretty simple area to upgrade and you can get a lot more faster performance if you upgrade the RAM. To upgrade the RAM, you have to see what your machine currently has installed. If you run windows, you can go to the control panel, and click on system. In the general tab, you will see information about the operating system, the processor, and the RAM. Most of the time computers will have decent processing capabilities, and not enough ram to get the most performance. This is a great area for an upgrade.

In terms of RAM, there are several types of RAM such as SDRAM, DDR RAM, DDR2, DDR3 etc. It is crucial to determine what type of RAM your machine will take, and how much of it that it is able to take. A good way to determine this information is to Google the model number of your PC. For example, I have an old IBM Aptiva 572 with an AMD Athlon 600MHz processor. A more precise method is to find the make and model of the mother board. To get that information, you have to open the PC (if you don’t know) and look around on the mother board for various markings. There are many markings on the motherboard, the key is to look for the largest marks and see what you can get. Typically the largest markings you will find should tell you the make and model of the motherboard you are dealing with. When you go online and do the research, you can find out what type of RAM the machine takes, and the maximum that it takes. Consider the RAM that is currently installed for potential clues to the research that you do.

Once you have determined the type of RAM and how much capacity you can install, you can go online and place an order for the RAM that you need. When you receive the RAM chips, all you have to really do is open the PC, get access to the area where the RAM sits, open the slots that you need. Slide the chips into place and then lock them in place. Make sure that you take the necessary precautions to protect the equipment from static discharge. Make sure that the chips are seated tightly. Close the PC CPU box, connect the PC and see what you get. If the machine does its POST ( Power On Self Test ) successfully, that is a good sign that the RAM chips that you have installed work. You should also see some type of memory test that basically counts the amount of memory during the startup phase. The amount that it counts should reflect the amount that you have installed.

After all is done, installed and working, you’ll be surprised and amazed as to how much faster the computer runs. Applications will start and run faster. Processes will run much faster and smoother. You’ll find that you can get more stuff done in less time. The machine should run more stable for you. Often people overlook the fact that a simple upgrade to a computers memory can provide valuable increase to the overall performance of the machine. With this valuable increase in performance, you can save money and time. You can get a few more years of useful life out of a computer just by upgrading the memory. It is cost effective just to increase the performance of an old CPU as opposed to purchasing an outright new machine.

This is a common start up error that appeared on the screen while booting the computer running on a Windows Platform. This error may occur due to number of reason. There are number of article on computer support websites and other online computer support forums.

Many times this error is caused when the computer is attempting to boot from a non-bootable floppy disk or CD-ROM. First verify that no floppy diskette is in the computer, unless you are attempting to boot from a diskette. If you are attempting to boot from a floppy diskette and are receiving this error message it is likely that the diskette does not have all the necessary files and/or is corrupt. If you are attempting to install Windows XP or Windows 2000 and are receiving this error message as the computer is booting verify that your computer BIOS has the proper boot settings. For example, if you are attempting to run the install from the CD-ROM make sure the CD-ROM is the first boot device, and not the hard disk drive.

This error has also been known to occur when a memory stick is in a card reader and the computer is attempting to boot from it. If you have any type of card reader or flash reader make sure that no memory stick is inside the computer. Verify that your computer hard disk drive is properly setup in the BIOS / CMOS setup. Improper settings can cause this error.Screen shots are available for different BIOS on various computer support websites and other online computer support forums.

Another cause for this problem might be the Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file. If your computer is using Microsoft Windows 2000 and you are encountering the NTLDR error. Create the boot.ini file on the floppy diskette drive. Copy the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files from another computer using the same Operating System. Both of these files are located in the root directory of the primary hard disk drive. For example, C:\NTLDR and C:\NTDETECT.COM should be the locations of these files on many computers. Please keep in mind that these files are hidden system files. Once these files have been copied to a floppy diskette reboot the computer and copy the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files to the root directory of the primary hard disk drive. Example of steps to be performed for using this command with the floppy disk drive is available on Microsoft online computer help forums.

Also in some of the online computer help forum it is clearly mentioned that this problem might occurred due to Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file. For this we have to edit the boot.ini on the root directory of the hard disk drive and verify that it is pointing to the correct location of your Windows Operating System and that the partitions are properly defined.
If you are getting this error message while you are attempting to upgrade to Windows 2000 or Windows XP from Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME running FAT32 we have to use the System Transferred command using the floppy disk and once it is done we can reboot the system. If you are attempting to add a new hard disk drive to the computer make sure that drive is a blank drive. Adding a new hard disk drive to a computer that already has Windows installed on it may cause the NTLDR error to occur. If you are unsure if the new drive is blank or not try booting from a bootable diskette and format the new hard disk drive.

It’s possible your computer’s hard disk drive may have a corrupt boot sector and/or master boot record. These can be repaired through the Microsoft Windows Recovery console by running the fix boot and fixmbr commands. If you have tried each of the above recommendations that apply to your situation and you continue to experience this issue it is possible you may have a seriously corrupted version of Microsoft Windows. Therefore we would recommend you reinstall Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP. If you are encountering this issue during your setup you may wish to completely erase your computer hard disk drive and all of its existing data and then install Microsoft Windows 2000 / Windows XP. This issue has been known to be caused by a loose or fault IDE/EIDE cable. If the above recommendation does not resolve your issue and your computer hard disk drive is using an IDE or EIDE interface. Verify the computer hard disk drive cable is firmly connected by disconnected and reconnecting the cable.

There may be some leftover gaps between the tape reel and tape head that can lead to errors and degraded performance. If the base film is weak then there are more chances of spacing gaps. Base film of polymer alloy in Sony LTO4 tape prevents the spacing gaps to upgrade the output and performance of LTO4 tape technology. Servo track in the Sony LTO4 data tape is ultra precise.

As data tracks used in LTO-4 are 896 in comparison to the LTO-3 data tracks of 704, therefore it is very important that the recorded tracks and the playback/record tape head should be properly aligned. On the tape media, the tracks are pre written which is the manufacturing procedure’s part. Although I can build websites with html or use Dreamweaver and Frontpage I am not an expert website designer and to be honest I struggle with software and scripts. Accepting my limitations I bought the XSitePro web design software in 2007 and upgraded to XSitePro V2 last year.

When I first got XSitePro I built my digital download site solely using that. Used Paypal as my payment processor and had thank you pages with download links for every product. It was a cheerful but not very professional looking site. I was fond of my efforts but there were problems with my download links being accessed by cheats and as time passed I began to cringe at the unprofessional look of my website.

As I had made a major investment in some software called Memberspeed I decided to rebuild the site using that. Although the software was intended to build membership sites it has a shopping cart and article directory which meant that I would get regularly updated content to help the site along in the search engines.

Fine but the fatal flaws were that using the software was time consuming and difficult for me to figure out and that it wasn’t flexible enough. For somebody with greater website design skills it might not be a problem but for me it was. My website looked more professional on the surface because I used a ready built Memberspeed template, but the shopping cart looked an uninviting mess that I simply did not have the skills to rectify.

Sales disappeared and another solution was called for. I wanted part of the solution to be XSitePro V2 because I love working with it. I have tried to use other shopping carts but find them difficult to understand and I don’t find them flexible enough for my limited skills. I had regularly seen posts in forums about using DLGuard as a shopping cart, or indeed paying memberships. Most but not all of the posters recommended DLGuard, but not everybody is going to like the same thing.

One day a question was asked about whether or not DLGuard could be integrated with XSitePro V2. The replies were all in the positive and when I checked out some of the sites indicated as using both I was quite impressed. A timely payment from Google Adsense was deposited into my PayPal account so I thought ‘go on girl go for it’.

I bought DLGuard for the princely sum of $146.05 including VAT. Before I could use it I needed to build the bones of a site, and being an impatient bod it was a good job that I had the speed of XSitePro. I used XHeader (a freebie with XSitePro V2) to make the header and utilised the many inbuilt design features to build the rest of the site. Not perfect but it looks more professional than my first digital download site and I can make alterations very easily.

My next step was to unzip DLGuard and upload it to my website following quite easy instructions. It wasn’t long before I’d uploaded my first product and added my Getresponse autoresponder details. That’s built in with both XSitePro and DLGuard so that was the easy part.

My next step was to redesign the DLGuard shopping cart to make it look like my website design. I sat and looked at the screen, scratched my head a few times before I decided that I was out of my depth. I went on to the DLGuard and XSitePro forums looking for how to tutorials and couldn’t find any. I thought about it for a while and decided that the only way to do what I wanted was to experiment.

I had a list of alterable DLGuard pages so I visited my sites Cpanel and viewed the source files. I wanted to edit them but being cautious I copied the source files into notepad before I began. That way if I boobed I would be able to replace the original source files.

An hour later I had added my new header to the shopping cart, altered the background colour and a few other things to give the appearance of integration. Considering how hopeless I am with scripts and software and my lack of design expertise I have surprised myself with what I have achieved.

My website now has an integrated shopping cart and my downloads are secure from cheats. It has flexibility in that I can add articles and reviews quickly and whenever I want. To my eyes it looks better than the previous two designs and it’s even started to make sales again after a spell in the doldrums.

One little glitch was with my first sale on the new site. I had redesigned the product download page and to check to see if everything was working I reduced a product to $0.01 and bought it with a joint Paypal account that I have with a partner. As I was testing I got called away and when I got back to my computer somebody else had bought the product and told me that the download link didn’t work. No it didn’t because I hadn’t uploaded the blooming product at that point. But, never mind the lower price than normal sale tested the rest of the work that I’d done and showed me that yes XSitePro and DLGuard do work together and it isn’t all that difficult.

Such method might seem to be too poorly automated, when you need ongoing daily or weekly integration from Oracle to SAP Business One. For more sophisticated and automatic integrations we recommend ODBC based datasets (on the Data File selection step of data migration wizard). We assume that you are on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2000, in this case ODBC could be based on Microsoft SQL Server view, which in turn through Linked Server construction pulls data from Oracle database. You can also create the package, which prepares the data export in Oracle prior to calling DTW in SB1

2. SAP Business One SDK. In SDK your SAP Business One VAR, if they have certified SB1 SDK developers could code integration for you, which is more flexible in comparison to SB1 Data Transfer Workbench. SDK integration could be packages as Exe application, for example, and you could schedule its execution every night or call it from Oracle upon the event (when ecommerce transaction is complete in Oracle Applications, for example). SB1 SDK can push and pull objects to and from SAP Business One and if you include both SAP BO SDK and Oracle integration libraries, you can create bidirectional integration between the two

3. Pulling data from SAP Business One. If you are OK with the option of deploying SAP Business One Data Transfer Workbench for moving transactions to SB1, then you can simply pull data from SAP Business One by connecting from Oracle application to Microsoft SQL Server SB1 company database, especially if you know how to parse and push data to Oracle. To learn SB1 tables structure, you could just login SB1 company, select View System Information menu and open the object you would like to pull from SB1, Sales A/R Invoice, for example. Place cursor on the field next to Customer and you will see on the left bottom part of the screen, that Customer ID is stored in OINV table and the field name is CardCode. This should give you good idea on what to do next

4. SAP Business One is often chosen as international subsidiary ERP application, as SB1 is localized in large spectrum of countries: Brazil, Canada, Europe, Russia, Mexico, Oceania, India, China. If your company has Oracle implemented in US or Canadian headquarters, SB1 to Oracle integration might be valuable solution
